All of Year 4 and Year 6 participated in an intra house orienteering competition with a maths focus. Oak were the winners!

Our children participated in a dodgeball competition at Ralph Thoresby and came 2nd. Well done!

120 of our children participated in a Wheelchair Rugby session. The children absolutely loved it and so many of them wanted to pursue this further.

Well done, girls! You were amazing at the football competition and also got to the quarter finals. The team-work and enthusiasm was brilliant!

Our Year 5 and 6 footballers were absolutely brilliant at the Leeds United Foundation football competition, they got through to the quarter finals and represented our school really well!

The whole school participated in an intra-house Boccia and New Age Kurling competition. The children had a brilliant time and the winners were Beech- well done, everyone.

Year 2 spent 3 weeks being coached by Leeds Rhinos. They picked up lots of key rugby skills such as learning how to hold the ball, how to pass and how to dodge other players. Well done year 2!

Year 3 and 4 spent the day at Ralph Thoresby participating in games and challenges organised by the sports leaders. They all showed determination, teamwork and confidence in everything that was asked of them throughout the day. Well done everyone!

Some year 6 pupils spent the afternoon at John Charles Centre for Sport taking part in multiple athletic events such as chest push, speed bounce, javelin throw, hurdles and sprints. They did an excellent job in all events and were amazing representatives for Ireland Wood. Well done year 6!

Year 3 have been working hard throughout the term on their balancing and working with a partner to achieve harder balances. This week we worked on partner balances on the floor and on benches. Well done year 3 you have shown excellent progress so far!

Some of the year 5's had an excellent day out at the Brownlee Triathlon. They completed a 50m swim, 800m cycle and a 400m run. All children did an excellent job representing Ireland Wood and had a fun morning trying something new. Well done to everyone that took part I hope to see you at more triathlon's in the future!

Year 4 took part in a dodgeball tournament at Ralph Thoresby. They played really well and enjoyed the competition. Well done!
