This term we are learning all about the Mayans. We cracked a code on immersive learning day and worked in a team to build Mayan temples - challenged by the fact only 2 people could see the picture of what it should look like! 
We also created bright, creative Mayan masks!

 

In addition to the maths sheet, children are expected to read at home and practice TTRockstars 3 x weekly (5 mins). 
Weekly spelling homework is provided. 

All homework goes home on a Friday and should be returned to school on a Tuesday. 

 

Swimming. 
Badgers will be swimming during the first half of the school year. 
 

Children should wear their swimming costume/trunks under their correct P.E uniform. They should then bring a swim bag that has the following 

Towel

Underwear 

Goggles (should they want to wear them in the pool)

 

 

In Year 4, children will be expected to complete a statutory maths check in Summer.To help them prepare for this we practice timestables daily in year 4 and we encourage the children to continue to practice whilst at home. All the children have access to TT Rockstars (Please find log ins in the front of your child's planner). There are also many websites which can support with your child's learning of timestabes, in school we use Multiplication Tables Check - 2025 - Timestables.co.uk as this mirrors the statutory check closely.
