Topic - History

Our autumn topic is "The Victorians". The children will learn about how Victorians lived during the reign of Queen Victoria. They will find out how different life was in the Victorian Age and how during this time all children had to attend school rather than work! They will also learn about how the Victorians changed society by inventing trains, telephones and seaside holidays.

Maths

During our maths lessons, we will focus on place value and addition and subtraction. The children will be working within numbers up to 100. They will also consolidate their shape knowledge.

Art and Design

This term we will introduce the children will continue to use their sketch books. They will also learn to use the natural world to make observational drawings using paint.

Design and Technology

In design and technology, the children will be making a garage for a car using different materials. They will be using their own ideas to make the structure stable and strong.

PSHE

In PSHE they will learn about how to connect with others. They will learn about communities and how to be kind, respectful and positive. They will also explore what to do and who to talk to when they are worried. They will also learn about the online world and how to keep safe in the online world.

Science

During our Science lessons we will be learning about Materials and what they are used for and how their physical properties make them suitable for different jobs.

PE

PE lesson will be on a Tuesday and a Thursday
