Welly Friday

We had our first experience of a wet 'Welly Friday' on the 29th September. We had great fun jumping in puddles, squelching in the mud and making Autumn faces in the sensory garden. What do you like to do when it's a rainy day!!??

Welly Friday 6th October

What a beautiful day! We had lots of fun in the sun today. We created hedgehog collages using leaves and twigs in the sensory garden, we played follow the leader on the playground, we 'washed the word' using the phonic sounds we have learned so far, and we collected items from the field which we counted out into groups. Haven't we been busy!?

On a mission!

Each week the children have new missions. These are related to the topic we are learning about and focus on English and Maths development. Talk to your child about their latest mission.

Children In Need Day (17.11.17)

Reception have had fun dressing up back to front today in support of Children In Need. We were invited to our first assembly where we got to see Mr Blackburn being dunked in strawberry jelly! It has also been anti-bullying week so we have been thinking about what makes a good friend and what is a bully.

Build A Bear Visits (13-14th November)

All the groups had a great time during our visits to Build A Bear. The children's behaviour was fantastic and they all worked well to make choices and decide on the bears and their accessories. We are all very excited about taking the bears home for the weekend. Each week two names (from both classes) will be pulled out of a hat for a chance to take one of the bears home.

Anti-bullying Week (13th November)

This week we have been thinking about what makes a good friend and what is a bully. Here are some videos of what the children have said.
