We have been very busy designing and making our animal vehicles. We worked very hard to make them using lots of measuring skills, problem solving and teamwork. We even got use a hacksaw, but we had to be very careful!
Year 3 were lucky enough to have two basketball coaches visit us from Leeds Metropolitan University. They taught us lots of new skills and fun was had by all!
Year 3 had an amazing day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We saw lots of exciting animals and asked the keepers lots of questions. We can't wait to make our vehicles to transport wild animals.
Year 3 were very lucky to have a visit from some final year drama students. They helped us to learn lots of things about the Stone Age by pretending to be archaeologists. We did some drama work, made up songs and designed our own cave paintings! At the end of the week we gave a performance of our work. We all really enjoyed ourselves!
In science we have been finding out about how light travels. We carried out an experiment using torches, mirrors and paper. We found out that light travels in a straight line and it can be reflected.
