We have been learning and reciting poetry this week in English. We learnt this one in under an hour using our own actions to help us. Mrs Broadbent was very impressed!

Tennis - June 2016

Some of us were lucky to be chosen to go to Ilkley tennis club for some tennis coaching. We also got to see some of the professionals playing in the Aegon cup.

5B's book review of The Firework Maker's Daughter by Philip Pullman.

We would recommend this book to children aged 8+. One member of 5B was quoted saying 'It's the best book I've ever read!'

'You want to be a firework maker? Walk into my flames!'

A girl named Lila, who is the main character in the story, must travel on a perilous journey to Mount Merapi to achieve her dream of becoming a firework maker.

This book is extraordinary. It has adventure, humour and fun.

We give this book ****.

Fancy being a Viking warrior?

Have a go at this game.

Can you do better than we did in class?
