World Book Day (03.03.16)

Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who came to 'rock up and read' today. We enjoyed sharing some of our favourite stories with you. RA also enjoyed a visit to our local library. Thank you to Miss Holman and Mrs Brown who volunteered. If you would like to volunteer to help with our library visits please speak to a member of the Reception team.

Tricky Words

Lists of the high frequency words your children will be learning this year.

Here are some useful websites to help your child with their learning:

http://www.mathletics.co.uk/
Your child's login is in their Reading Diary. They can also access Spellodrome via this website.

http://www.educationcity.com/
Your child's login is in their Reading Diary.

Both Mathletics and Education City have apps for iPads but not all the activities can be accessed this way.

Whilst we encourage using technology to support learning, we recommend that you try to limit the amount of time your child spends on devices such as laptops and tablets particularly before bedtime.

A great website for exploring online safety. It is important to talk about online dangers as well as real world dangers.

Want to make your own playdough at home?

This is a really easy and quick recipe which Mrs Ajayi uses all the time!
Just click on the picture for the link to the recipe :-)

Meet Rosie Rabbit and Dougie Dog
Reception cannot wait to get the chance to take one of our new class bears home for the weekend.
We will be talking about how to look after the bears and how to record their marvellous adventures once they are at home. First of all though, they need to be invited to stay!
