Plants and Animals

As part of our topic on growing we have been on a plant hunt, done lots of art work and even had a visit from Mrs Cox's pet rabbit, Peter. We have enjoyed making the pet animals better in our vet's role play area and we have all planted our own sunflower seeds to bring home. We hope they have started to grow!

Easter Chicks

We got 9 eggs from Hatch It! just after the Easter holidays, and 8 of them hatched into fantastic fluffy chicks! We have enjoyed looking after them and learning all about them.

This term the children will be working hard and having lots of fun! We are getting some eggs which we hope to see hatch into chicks, visiting a farm, and doing lots of baking, planting and growing. We also offer story sacks this term for anyone who would like them - Mrs Sowerby will be having a meeting for any interested parents so please do come along.

This term there may be days when your child will need suncream. If this is the case please send them in with a bottle and we will ensure they apply it before break time. Also, please still send children with coats even if it looks sunny: as is often the case with the English weather, there could easily be an afternoon downpour!
