Well, what a busy few weeks we have had! Here are just a selection of the events we have been doing. They include: reading our stories to Reception; helping children in Reception to learn through play; a visit from Santa; Christmas problem solving with Y6; making our party hats with limited resources (it really made us think about how we were going to do it!); our Christmas party and much, much more!
Here are a few from our London Residential. What an amazing time we had! More to follow next week!
Here is the result of our debate!
Greg Mulholland MP came into school to tell us a bit about how Parliament works and to chair a debate about homework! We are now even more excited about our upcoming visit to the Houses of Parliament. Oh, and the motion was passed... Homework should be compulsory for children at Primary School!
Well done to everyone who has achieved their IIP target this half term!
We enjoyed finding out about other cultures and learning lots of new facts.
In Science we have been looking at mixtures and solutions. We've done lots of practical work and found out loads of new facts.
The WOW room has been transformed into Narnia, which is great for us as we are reading "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" at the moment. We've worn furry hats and jackets, held ice blocks and used leaves and twigs as extra sensory stimulation to help us imagine we are in Narnia and to inspire our writing.
We enjoyed a great session at Pizza Express in Horsforth. We made some lovely tasting pizzas and had lots of fun! Say cheese!
Here you can find our spellings and a copy of the "Homework Map". Remember, Maths will be stuck in the back of your homework book.
