Year 1 enjoyed a fantastic DT day this half term. As part of their topic-' Autumn and Animals,' the children took part in creating a 'bug hotel.' This included planning and designing their project, hunting for things the animals would like to keep them warm and dry in our sensory garden and evaluating our habitat at the end of the project. The children were tasked with ensuring their habitats met three main criteria: 1. They would keep the animals warm and dry 2. They were strong 3. They had an entrance for the animal to get through. I'm sure you will all agree, they have produced some fantastic habitats. Well done Year 1 and thanks to all the parents who brought shoe boxes in!
